The Most Eligible Christian series is now a book! What began as a series of online articles has grown into a book largely due to the many years of encouragement in letters from hundreds of readers. My deep appreciation to all those who have encouraged me over the years to turn the original online articles into something more. Thank you to everyone who has helped vet, edit, and shape these perspectives in life and in writing.

If you came looking for the popular blog series, please take a chance on the book version: Available in paperback or Kindle ebook

The Most Eligible Christian:

Rescuing Our Relationships from a Dating-Obsessed Culture

We’re obsessed with dating.
And it’s ruining our lives.

Rather than leading the way and creating a new and better culture, Christians often misguidedly assume a reactionary posture to cultural norms, then slap “Christian” on things as an adjective and call it a worldview. This collision between worldly ideas and Christian ideals has created a strange and confusing culture of relationships, friendships, and dating in our communities. Is it any wonder why our ministries often struggle with a true sense of community, and single men and women are the most likely to leave their church?

A book for everyone from teens to elders, The Most Eligible Christian exposes the roots of this disconnect and calls the church to the often missing theology of relationships we were intended to receive and the world was meant to see, guiding us away from a dating obsession and into the richness of kingdom relationships.
